ASKPC accuses Govt of not solving migrants problems

All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in its general body meeting here today discussed various problems being faced by the displaced Pandits.

The meeting was chaired by general secretary ASKPC, H L Chatta.

He lambasted both State and Central Governments for their failure in solving the burning problems of the community. He said the Government has failed to pay heed to the problems of the displaced Pandits.

He demanded immediate enhancement of monthly relief in favour of relief holders to ` 12,000 per month, payment of ` 25 lakh as one time stipend in favour of over-aged youth, release of monthly pay in favour of migrant employees posted in the Valley under PM’s package, allotment of quarters to non camp migrants living in rented accommodations, stoppage of encroachment of Hindu religious places and immovable property, Passage of Temples and Shrines Bill and constitution of a Committee headed by a Supreme Court Judge to enquire about exodus and killing of innocent people in Kashmir since 1989-90.

Those who also spoke in the meeting include Bharat Bushan Bhat, Subash Chatta, Ravi Raina, Sanjay Kakroo, Ashok Dhar and S L Mujoo.
